Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) seeks a strategic, results-driven leader to direct the salaried recruiting team, oversee full-cycle recruiting, and shape talent acquisition strategies aligned with business goals. You will partner with business leaders to forecast workforce demand and drive process improvements for an exceptional candidate experience.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and knowledge of employment laws for government contractors, with responsibility for analytics

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other 2 year program and 2 years relevant exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above, High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades or 8 years combined of related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for the NNS salaried recruiting team.
Lead full-cycle recruiting, university and veteran relations, and candidate pipeline management.
Develop recruiting strategies, drive accountability, and align talent acquisition with organizational priorities.
