Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS), part of HII, seeks a strategic, people-focused leader to oversee salaried recruiting. You will guide full-cycle recruiting, university and veteran relations, and candidate pipeline development, partnering with business leaders to anticipate workforce needs and set priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and compliance with government contractor hiring practices to deliver exceptional talent experiences and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of progressive professional and/or supervisory experience; Master’s with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent qualifications include NNS Apprentice School graduate, NNPS graduate, or a 2-year program with related exempt or non-exempt experience.
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above, or extensive manufacturing/shipbuilding or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the salaried recruiting team and drive full-cycle recruiting.
• Develop innovative recruiting strategies and align talent acquisition with organizational priorities.
• Ensure compliance with government contractor hiring practices and employment laws.
• Leverage analytics, labor market intelligence, and performance metrics to drive results and mitigate workforce risks.
