Kapella Group is seeking an on-site Talent Acquisition & HR Manager in Centennial, Colorado to drive proactive recruiting and strengthen core HR practices. The role combines hands-on talent sourcing, candidate closing, and partnership with executive leadership to support scalable recruiting and HR systems as the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting efforts for critical leadership and operational roles, including Business Development Managers/Directors, Chief and Senior Estimators, Project Managers, Superintendents, Construction Accounting and corporate roles, Roofing Sales Professionals, Roofing Canvassers, and other operational and leadership positions.
- Proactively source and headhunt passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
- Build reliable pipelines ahead of urgent hiring needs.
- Use a multi-channel sourcing approach including LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, competitor mapping, direct outreach, job boards, and additional sourcing methods.
- Develop new recruiting approaches when conventional sources are not producing results.
- Screen and qualify candidates before presenting them to hiring managers.
- Manage the recruiting lifecycle from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate ATS pipelines and candidate records.
- Track recruiting KPIs, pipeline activity, and outcomes, and provide regular reporting on progress, challenges, and priorities.
- Partner directly with executive leadership and hiring managers throughout the process.
- Continuously evaluate compensation, job positioning, sourcing channels, and recruiting strategy to improve results.
- Support employee onboarding and integration.
- Provide employee relations and performance-management support.
- Manage HR compliance and documentation, including policies, procedures, and employee records.
- Coordinate benefits and HR/payroll system needs.
- Maintain management accountability and recurring HR processes.
- Help develop scalable HR systems as the company expands.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition and recruiting experience.
- Proven ability to proactively source and recruit passive candidates.
- Experience recruiting professional, management, sales, or difficult-to-fill positions.
- Strong sourcing, networking, interviewing, and candidate-closing skills.
- Experience using an ATS and managing recruiting pipelines and KPIs.
- True recruiting hunter mindset, with the ability to personally source candidates instead of relying primarily on Indeed or inbound applications.
- Capability to recruit experienced professionals who may not be actively seeking a new role.
- High organization, responsiveness, and ownership of deadlines and deliverables.
- Comfort being measured against recruiting KPIs and results.
- Ability to work independently while keeping leadership informed.
- Comfort working directly with the CEO and department leaders.
- Ability to shift recruiting strategy quickly when approaches are not producing results.
- Interest in building systems while remaining hands‑on in daily recruiting activities.
Strongly Preferred
- Commercial construction recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Construction Accounting professionals, and/or commercial construction Business Development professionals.
- Roofing or specialty‑contractor recruiting experience.
- HR management or generalist experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, compliance, policies, and performance management.
- Construction recruiting experience: 4 years (preferred).

Compensation and Location
Compensation: USD 90,000 - 120,000 per year.
Location: Centennial, CO (onsite).
