Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will lead and manage all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle for the property, partnering closely with department leaders to attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent that embodies the 1 Hotels culture and values. This role is responsible for developing proactive recruitment strategies, building strong talent pipelines, delivering exceptional candidate experience, and ensuring the resort attracts top talent across all levels of the organization while supporting operational excellence and business objectives.

PRINCIPAL Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business needs, seasonal hiring demands, workforce planning, and the operational needs of the resort.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand current and future staffing needs and develop proactive recruitment plans for hourly, supervisory, management, and executive positions.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external talent pipelines through networking, referrals, hospitality associations, colleges and universities, community partnerships, military programs, and industry events.
  • Advise leaders on market conditions, talent availability, recruitment best practices, and competitive hiring strategies.
  • Ensure recruitment strategies support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and pre-employment processes.
  • Conduct interviews and partner with hiring managers throughout the selection process to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with the 1 Hotels culture and service standards.
  • Coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, behavioral interviewing, and selection decisions.
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, pre-employment screenings, relocation support (where applicable), and hiring documentation.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, cost per hire, offer acceptance rates, and turnover trends, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare and administer monthly attrition reports.
  • Conduct weekly recruiting meetings.
  • Attend weekly departmental labor meetings.
  • Champion 1 Hotels as an employer of choice through career fairs, networking events, hospitality schools, community outreach, social media, employee referral programs, and other innovative sourcing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitality schools, universities, community organizations, and industry partners to create long-term talent pipelines.
  • Support internship, management trainee, and early career recruitment initiatives as applicable.
  • Ensure a positive, engaging, and transparent candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Partner with Marketing and People Operations to ensure recruitment messaging and recruitment branding reflect the 1 Hotels culture and values.
  • Partner with People Operations to ensure a seamless onboarding and orientation experience for all new team members.
  • Support hiring managers during new hire integration and monitor early turnover trends, identifying opportunities to improve retention and onboarding effectiveness.
  • Promote internal mobility by partnering with leaders to identify qualified internal talent and support career development opportunities.
  • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, applicant tracking systems, recruitment reports, and candidate documentation.
  • Develop and continuously improve recruitment processes, interview guides, SOPs, and hiring tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency, hiring manager engagement, candidate quality, and overall recruitment effectiveness.
  • Stay informed of hospitality hiring trends, labor market conditions, recruitment technologies, and innovative sourcing strategies to ensure the resort remains competitive in attracting top talent.
  • Collaborate with People Operations, Training, and department leaders to align recruitment efforts with operational priorities and workforce planning.
  • Support recruitment for new outlets, seasonal staffing initiatives, special projects, and other business needs as required.
  • Lead or support recruitment coordinators, interns, temporary recruiters, or other recruitment resources as applicable.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional service throughout the recruitment process.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
