Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse in the United States, seeks an enthusiastic team member in California. As an Outbacker you will deliver memorable service with a smile and help guests enjoy a great AUS-SOME dining experience.

You will greet guests, recommend menu favorites, process orders and payments, support teamwork across the restaurant, and uphold food safety and cleanliness standards. This is an hourly, non-exempt role with tips.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old to sell alcohol.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).

Responsibilities

• Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile.
• Uses menu knowledge to share favorites and provide recommendations.
• Answers the phone in a prompt and professional manner.
• Supports all areas of the restaurant to WOW guests and teamwork is essential.
• Accurately processes orders and payments, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintains food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
