About the Position

As a Takeout Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that every takeout and delivery order meets our high standards for accuracy, presentation, and timeliness. You’ll be the critical link between our kitchen and Front-of-House team, helping to maintain a smooth flow of service while delivering exceptional hospitality to our guests. Key Responsibilities

Takeout Order Management

• Accurately receive, prepare, and package takeout orders using our POS system.
• Verify that all orders are complete, properly packaged, and include necessary items like sauces, utensils, and condiments.
• Maintain an organized takeout staging area and ensure orders are handed off professionally.

Menu Knowledge

• Develop a thorough understanding of our food and beverage menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to confidently answer guest questions.

Telephone & Customer Service

• Operate a multi-line telephone system to take accurate takeout orders and address guest inquiries.
• Provide friendly, professional service to guests picking up orders and resolve concerns when necessary.

POS & Cash Handling

• Utilize the POS system to process orders and payments accurately.
• Follow cash-handling procedures, including providing change and addressing payment discrepancies.

Expo & Kitchen Coordination

• Monitor kitchen orders and ensure food is properly prepared and presented.
• Assist with food running and coordinate with the kitchen and Front-of-House team to maintain efficient service.

Organization & Cleaning

• Keep the takeout and expo areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work to support overall restaurant operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant, takeout, expo, cashier, or customer service role.
• Skills: Strong menu knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Technology: Familiarity with POS systems and multi-line telephone systems is preferred.
