Job summary

Hawkers Asian Street Food is hiring a Hawkers Takeout Team Member to bridge our kitchen and guests ordering by phone, online, or in person for pick-up. You’ll deliver an outstanding off-premise guest experience with accuracy, speed, warmth, and hospitality.

Responsibilities include taking orders, knowing the menu, using POS and delivery platforms, and ensuring timely, friendly service while maintaining a clean HTO area and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Positive, guest-first attitude and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Take food and drink orders accurately and enthusiastically via phone and for walk-in to-go guests.
• Develop thorough knowledge of our menu to guide guests and make personalized suggestions.
• Navigate online ordering platform and third-party delivery systems with accuracy.
• Organize and stage completed HTO orders for guest pick-up in a timely, well-presented manner.
• Greet guests arriving warmly, confirm order accuracy, and hand off with a great experience.
• Process payments accurately using our POS system and handle guest information securely.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to keep operations smooth.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the HTO section and perform side work.
• Adhere to OSHA and HACCP standards and maintain/obtain Food Handlers Certification.
• Support the broader team as needed.
