Job summary

Polk Mechanical Company in Houston is seeking a Plumbing Take-Off Estimator to join our Pre-Construction and Estimating team. This role focuses on producing accurate plumbing quantity take-offs and requires hands-on plumbing experience.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in the plumbing trade, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. We offer excellent benefits including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on plumbing trade experience.
• Trade-specific blueprint reading required.
• Ability to understand specifications and project requirements.
• Ability and willingness to work in-office.
• Previous estimating or take-off exposure preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate plumbing quantity take-offs for project estimates.
• Review drawings and specifications; understand project requirements.
• Deliver reliable quantity data to support estimators.

Skills

Hands-on plumbing trade experience (commercial plumbing systems)

Strong plumbing blueprint reading and interpretation skills

Ability to understand specifications and overall project requirements

Familiarity with domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty plumbing systems

Plumbing Take-Off Estimator

Position Summary: The Plumbing Take-Off Estimator supports the Pre-Construction and Estimating team by producing accurate, detailed plumbing quantity take-offs that contribute to complete and competitive project estimates. This role focuses specifically on plumbing systems and requires hands‑on trade knowledge, strong blueprint reading skills, and close attention to detail. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, understanding project requirements, and delivering reliable quantity data to support estimators in meeting bid deadlines. This is an in‑office role that requires strong time management and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced estimating environment.
