Job summary

COLSA Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a TAK Development and Integration Engineer to design, develop, and integrate TAK software for U.S. Army TSMD.

You will work on full stack TAK development, interfaces, and system integration, collaborating with end users to resolve issues and deliver robust software solutions. The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and hands-on experience with Java, Python, Git, Linux, and Docker, plus frontend skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Hands-on experience supporting system integration efforts
• Experience developing software with Java and Python
• Experience configuring/maintaining development environments (Git, Linux, Docker)
• Front-end development experience and responsive interfaces
• Experience integrating custom interfaces or plugins
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for tracking/documentation
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Experience with Google Protobuf and XML messaging

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement TAK software applications using Java and Python
• Perform full stack TAK development to support operational and government requirements
• Design and implement user-friendly TAKX interfaces and functionality
• Support integration of TAK applications with existing systems and technologies
• Analyze user requirements and troubleshoot software issues with the team
• Configure and maintain development environments using Git, Linux, and Docker
• Contribute to technical documentation, user guides, and training materials as needed
