You will develop and maintain Android apps and plugins for ATAK and TAK ecosystem, integrate CoT messaging, support server API integrations, and translate user requirements into production features while collaborating with customers. This role is remote within the United States.

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Mobile/TAK (Tactical Awareness Kit) Developer to work in a constantly evolving environment where new technologies are used frequently and learning never stops. The selected candidate will work remotely as part of an existing team.

Here’s what you will do:

• Develop and maintain Android applications and plugins for the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) and related TAK ecosystem products, under the guidance of senior developers.
• Assist in integrating Cursor-on-Target (CoT) messaging, mapping overlays, and situational awareness features into mobile applications.
• Write, test, and debug code supporting TAK Server API integrations.
• Interact with customers and end users to understand and help translate requirements into working software features.
• Have the ability to produce customer facing production code day one.

Here’s what you need:

• 1-3 years of experience in:
  • Native Android development in Java and/or Kotlin.
  • Code source control such as GIT.
• Exposure to ATAK plugin development or the broader TAK ecosystem (TAK Server, CoT messaging, WinTAK/iTAK).

Bonus points if you have

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with geospatial/mapping concepts and symbology standards (e.g., MIL-STD-2525).
• Use of static analysis, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Handling more than 1 project concurrently.
• Experience working within AWS environments for development, testing, and integration.
