Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Tailor/Fitter to provide exceptional service through skilled alteration work. You will measure, fit, and alter garments while maintaining Nordstrom’s standards of quality and customer care.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring and sewing experience, 2–3 years preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete sewing alterations per Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals while following processes and procedures.
• Use store technology to manage and organize alteration needs.
• Deliver service through teamwork within Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, construction and trends.
