Job summary

Virginia Military Institute is seeking a full-time Tailor to support cadet uniforms in the Tailor/Repair Shop. The role requires reliable performance, basic sewing skills, and comfort with sewing machines and a digital work log via iPad.

The position offers dayshift hours, generous benefits, and retirement options. Training will be provided to the right candidate with strong references and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

Virginia Military Institute is accepting applications for a full-time Tailors.

Job Description:

• Support the Tailor/Repair Shop by altering/repairing cadet uniforms.
• Perform routine maintenance to equipment;
• Keep accurate account of daily work for later reference, to include use of iPad.
