Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation in Nevada seeks a Tailings & Heap Leach Manager to oversee 15 TSFs and 5 HLFs at the Carlin Complex. You will lead the site team, ensure budgets and work plans, and coordinate with geotechnical and environmental specialists for ongoing operations.

Role requires 10–15 years in mining or related industries; strong communication; PE designation preferred; team collaboration and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in geological, civil or mining engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of tailings and heap leach operations required.
• Professional Engineer designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage 15 tailings storage facilities and 5 heap leach facilities at the Carlin Complex.
• Lead site team including superintendent and engineers; fulfill RTFE role.
• Prepare and manage internal budgets and work plans for TSF/HLF management.
• Coordinate with qualified site and corporate personnel on geotechnical issues.
• Review water/tailings models, designs, and investigation plans; ensure reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments and leadership; manage consultants.
• Stay up-to-date with geotechnical and tailings engineering practices.
• Support risk assessments, mitigations, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure conformance to Barrick standards, GISTM, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure facility inspections, reclamation requirements, and design integration.
