Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe is seeking a Snow Cat Operator to join the Snow Surfaces Department. The role involves grooming and maintaining trails, operating state-of-the-art snowcats after hours to shape the on-piste experience for guests.

Ideal candidates are safety-focused, able to follow procedures, and have experience with heavy equipment; training is provided (Pisten Bully Pro Academy).

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, snowcats or tractors preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to identify malfunctions and safety concerns.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and SOPs.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to safety.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Pisten Bully Pro Academy Online Training provided upon employment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate snowcat grooming equipment to maintain ski surfaces.
  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of snowcats and related gear.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify issues.
  • Coordinate with Vehicle Maintenance Team on repairs and service needs.
  • Follow grooming patterns and resort procedures to meet style and safety standards.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
