Job summary

The State of Nevada’s Division of State Parks in Incline Village is seeking a Seasonal Park Aide 2 to join a small, dedicated team. You’ll help visitors enjoy the park, assist with services, and support education programs amid Tahoe’s scenery.

You will also handle custodial and grounds maintenance, greet visitors, provide park information, collect entrance fees, and support interpretive displays and tours. Prior park experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of general work experience in a park, zoo, museum, interpretive visitor center, or closely related field.
• Or six months of experience as a Park Aide I in Nevada State service.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning park grounds, structures, and facilities; remove debris and sanitize restrooms.
• Participate in grounds and facility maintenance projects; weed, prune, paint, and remove safety hazards.
• Furnish park visitors with information, assist with interpretive programs and displays, and give historic tours.
• Collect park user fees, issue tickets, and prepare routine reports.
• Organize and store cleaning supplies and monitor inventory.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on park vehicles and equipment.
