Job summary

Placer County is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Tahoe area. The role involves operating light to moderately heavy road maintenance and construction equipment, with snow removal experience preferred.

The position is at the full journey level within the Equipment Operator series and pays $26.95–$33.64 per hour, plus a $1,000 per month Tahoe Assignment Premium. Two years of responsible maintenance experience and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

• Two years of responsible experience performing duties similar to a Maintenance Worker assigned to various program areas in Placer County.

Responsibilities

• Operate light and moderately heavy road maintenance and construction equipment.
• Perform repair and maintenance tasks on county roads as needed.
