Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Heating, Ventilation and AC Mechanic for TACOM (RRAD) to perform metal fabrication, structural repair, and body restoration on tactical and support vehicles, using welding, cutting and shaping techniques to restore serviceability.

Responsibilities include assessing repair needs, fabricating parts, repairing doors and hinges, and aligning hull components to spec. A high school diploma, 2–5 years in heavy equipment servicing, and US citizenship with ability to obtain a security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and follow shop instructions.
• Two to five years in Automotive Body and Heavy Mobile Equipment Servicing.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair scope and method to restore and modify vehicle hull.
• Inspect hull for mislocated or damaged holes and inspect components.
• Fabricate parts and templates using drawings and knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Perform welding using inert gas shielded and other welding processes.
• Repair doors, hinges, torsion bars, ramps and related components.
• Perform final inspection to ensure safety and quality standards.
