Job summary

KBR is seeking a Heating, Ventilation and AC Mechanic for the TACOM (RRAD) program. The incumbent will perform metal fabrication, structural repair, and body restoration on tactical and support vehicles, using welding and cutting techniques to restore serviceability.

Responsibilities include hull inspection, parts fabrication, and alignment of doors and ramps, with adherence to safety, quality, and technical standards under contingent conditions. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2–5 years in automotive body and heavy mobile equipment servicing.
• Must be able to read and write English and follow shop instructions.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair scope, restore or modify hull and related components.
• Perform metal fabrication, welding, grinding and fitting per drawings.
• Fabricate parts and fixtures using blueprints and prior experience with heavy vehicles.
• Weld and repair doors, hinges, and hull components to restore serviceability.
• Inspect vehicle hull and check for mislocations, damage and tolerances.
