Qualifications

• HS/GED required or higher education/experience.
• Two years of system administration experience.
• Must obtain DoD 8570.01 (CompTIA Security+) within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, scripting (Bash, Python), VMware, AWS or equivalents.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
• Ability to work independently with sensitive information and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain tactical computing solutions in a security-hardened Linux environment.
• Configure systems for performance and security per standards.
• Test and evaluate tactical system software using MATLAB.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate functionality and security.
• Configure tasks via Bash scripts and C/C++.
• Automate tasks with Ansible and Git for version control.
• Perform information assurance tasks including system hardening and vulnerability assessments (Nessus).
• Deploy systems on-site for sponsors and provide reach-back support.
• Stay updated on trends in systems administration and information security.
• Maintain documentation and administrative tasks including inventories and handling classified materials.
