GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Officer in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on environment reading, risk anticipation, and decisive action across locations like retail stores, airports, and detention centers.

Two shifts are available: full-time, 3rd shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m.) and part-time, 2nd shift (2 p.m.–10 p.m.). The position offers $22.15 per hour, a comprehensive benefits package, and uniform provided at no cost. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Stand and walk for the entire shift
• Military or law enforcement experience preferred
• Security experience is an asset
• Valid driver’s license with clean record

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure zones
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents
• Check alarms and cameras for proper function
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and perform on-site checks
• Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 3rd shift 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 2nd shift 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening processFirst aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Military or Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have security experience.
• You have a state license if required.
• You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
