Tactical Plan Co-ordinator
Full Time - 37 hours per week
Permanent
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Water Tactical Planning team at a pivotal time. We are continuing to enhance our use of Copperleaf Portfolio for investment decision optimisation while growing the team to play an even greater role in shaping investment decisions across the business.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in asset intensive industries such as utilities, transport or wider infrastructure sectors. Experience in asset management, investment planning and risk-based decision making within regulated environments will bring highly transferable skills to this role.
As a Tactical Planning Co-ordinator, you'll support the development and management of rolling two-year tactical plans that guide operational, maintenance and capital investment activities. Working closely with Asset Managers, Asset Planners and operational teams, you'll help optimise investment decisions, assess intervention options, undertake cost-benefit analysis and monitor the delivery of planned benefits.
You will also support the development of future investment programmes through analysis, scenario modelling and decision support tools, helping to balance risk, cost and performance while delivering value for customers and regulators.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence asset investment decisions and help shape the future performance and resilience of our water services.
We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual to join our team, bringing experience in asset management, planning, engineering, operations, or investment decision-making. The successful candidate will have experience working within the water industry or another asset-intensive sector and possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
You will have experience in risk-based decision-making, investment planning, or capital programme delivery, alongside excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities are essential, as is confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have knowledge of asset management principles, whole-life costing, or Totex methodologies. Experience using asset management or optimisation software, such as Copperleaf, would be advantageous, as would an understanding of water networks, treatment processes, or other regulated environments. Relevant qualifications or professional membership within asset management, engineering, or a related discipline would also be beneficial.
