Job summary

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO) in Carlsbad, NM seeks an Exercise Physiologist to develop and implement the Medical Surveillance Fitness Program for Emergency Services and Protective Force Personnel.

You will provide preventive and rehabilitative occupational health services, wellness education classes and events, injury prevention training, and surveillance medical programming. Strong communication and program design skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Kinesiology with five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in exercise testing.
• Exercise Physiology certification from ACSM or ASE.
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, AED.
• Must be at least 18; U.S. citizenship required except in limited circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of the Medical Surveillance Fitness Program for Emergency Services and Protective Force Personnel.
• Provide preventive and rehabilitative occupational safety and health services and programming (wellness education, classes, events, injury prevention).
• Oversee and design programs for diverse demographics (exercise, injury, chronic disease prevention).
• Present health/fitness research and apply to a diverse audience.
• Supervise and instruct members in a health/fitness facility or corporate wellness setting.
