Job summary

KBR is seeking a Budget Analyst (Contingency) to support TACOM in planning, developing, analyzing, and monitoring budgets for installation operations and engineering projects. You will work with program managers, engineers, and financial staff to manage funding strategies and track expenditures.

This contingency role requires experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management, with the ability to ensure compliance with policies and funding regulations. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, analyzing, and managing budgets, financial plans, or funding programs.
• Knowledge of budget formulation, execution, forecasting, and financial management principles and practices.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for budget and resource allocation decisions.
• Experience preparing financial reports, budget estimates, and funding justifications for management review.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Coordinate with program managers, engineers, contracting personnel, and other stakeholders to develop resource requirements and funding priorities.
• Review funding requests, purchase requirements, and project expenditures to ensure accuracy, justification, and availability of funds.
• Maintain budget records, financial databases, and supporting documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, financial reviews, and reporting activities while recommending process improvements to enhance budget management and financial accountability.

Program Summary

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.

Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.

Job Summary

The Budget Analyst is responsible for planning, developing, analyzing, and monitoring budgets in support of installation operations, engineering projects, maintenance activities, and mission requirements. This position provides financial analysis and budget management support to ensure resources are allocated effectively and in compliance with organizational policies, funding regulations, and fiscal requirements. The Budget Analyst works closely with program managers, engineers, leadership, and financial personnel to develop funding strategies, track expenditures, and support informed decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

The salary range for this position is $72,500 - $108,800. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
