Job summary

Bethyl Laboratories, Inc is seeking a Dallas-area Cashier to provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while supporting daily food service operations.

You will process transactions with the POS system, assist with food preparation and ensure clean, stocked workstations. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays and a focus on food safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous cashier, food service, restaurant, or convenience store experience preferred.

  • Basic cash handling and POS system experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while supporting daily food service operations. This role serves as a key point of interaction for guests by processing transactions, assisting with food service coordination, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close tills accurately following company cash handling procedures.
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the POS system.
  • Assist with daily kitchen and food preparation support tasks as needed.
  • Maintain proper stocking levels of food service supplies, condiments, and operational items.
  • Support food expo operations by organizing, verifying, and coordinating food orders for timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintain awareness of product availability and communicate shortages or issues to management.

Compliance

  • Adhere to all health, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure food handling and service procedures meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in maintaining quality control standards to ensure food provided meets customer expectations.
  • Follow all company operational procedures and workplace safety guidelines.

Customer Service

  • Deliver Tier 1 (T1) customer experience standards through fast, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Greet customers warmly and acknowledge guests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Provide positive customer engagement throughout the transaction process, including friendly farewells.
  • Address customer questions or concerns promptly and elevate issues when appropriate.
  • Support a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere for both guests and coworkers.

Work Area Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation throughout the shift.
  • Perform area cleaning duties in food prep, cashier, dining, and customer service areas.
  • Ensure supplies and service items are replenished and properly organized.
  • Assist with shift transition and communicate operational updates to incoming team members.

Requirements

  • Previous cashier, food service, restaurant, or convenience store experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic cash handling and POS system experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain physically active throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies or products as needed.

Pay Range: $11.00-16.00/hour depending on shift and experience
