Job summary

Fuel City is hiring convenient store cashiers to deliver outstanding customer service and accurately process transactions in a fast-paced retail environment. Roles include opening/closing till procedures, stocking, and assisting with store operations across a 24/7 schedule.

Shifts may include overnight hours with premium pay opportunities. Candidates should be reliable, customer-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately.
• Perform opening and closing till procedures.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions responsibly.
• Assist with store operational tasks as assigned.
• Support area stocking and merchandise replenishment.
• Follow company policies regarding cash handling, security, and safety.
• Deliver a T1 customer experience through friendly and professional service.
• Greet customers upon arrival and thank them as they leave.
• Provide information regarding products, promotions, and services.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
• Build positive customer relationships through engagement and attentiveness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Front and merchandise products to maintain store appearance.
• Restock shelves and displays as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock.
• Ensure workstations remain clean, safe, and properly supplied throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements

• Employees working overnight shifts may qualify for premium pay opportunities. Overnight team members play a key role in maintaining store operations, customer service, cleanliness, and stocking during late-night business hours.

Pay Range: $11.00-16.00/hour depending on shift and experience
