Job summary

Wedgewood Pharmacy in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Tablet Press Operator to join our production team. You will weigh ingredients, blend formulations, and operate tablet press equipment to produce high-quality medications for pets.

This role emphasizes accuracy, safety procedures, and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment. We offer a Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule with a $22.00/hour compensation and eligibility for benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • NJ Pharmacy Technician License (we will train you).
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or compounding preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow formulas, procedures, and batch instructions.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals used in compounding.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing in lab/production settings.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and measure ingredients using compounding formulas.
  • Blend and mix ingredients to create tablet preparations.
  • Set up and operate tablet press equipment.
  • Monitor tablet quality (thickness, hardness, size).
  • Package and label finished medications.
  • Follow pharmacy safety and compounding procedures.
  • Clean and maintain tablet press and lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Complete batch runs within production timelines.
  • Maintain accurate batch and lot documentation.
  • Support production schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Follow all lab safety standards and PPE requirements.

Education
