Job summary

Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians seeks a Table Games Manager to oversee all table games during shifts and initiatives. The role emphasizes delivering the Five Star Experience by leading a skilled team of dealers, floor, and pit staff, with a focus on policy compliance and operational integrity.

The position requires supervisory experience, a Tribal Gaming License, and the ability to work across multiple locations with flexible hours. Indian Preference applies per IPA.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree (or GED).
  • Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Table Games during assigned shifts and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with MICS and TICS and tribal policies.
  • Schedule and assign rotation of Dealer, Floor and Pit staff.
  • Monitor and adjust table betting limits and game openings/closings.
  • Prepare budget data and ensure department budget adherence.
  • Train and develop dealers, floor, and pit staff.

Summary

This position is responsible for managing all Table Games during assigned operationactivities and initiatives. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Assume custody and control of cards and keys during a shift.
  • Prepare and assign rotation of Dealer, Floor and Pit staff per established guidelines.
  • Assign tables, areas of supervision, and break schedule.
  • Maintain integrity of operations directly and through subordinates.
  • Accountable and responsible for the protection of assets of the casino.
  • Ensure player ratings are completed accurately, consistently, and according to established guidelines.
  • Execute Progressive Jackpot documents and payments.
  • Analyze and issue player complimentary requests per established guidelines.
  • Maintain excellent communications with all Directors and Supervisors.
  • Implements approved departmental policies and procedures.
  • Analyze gaming activities during shift and raises and/or lowers table betting limits as business needs dictate.
  • Analyze gaming activities during shift and opens and/or closes table as business needs dictate.
  • Manages and adjusts to obtain optimum efficiency during peak and slow periods during a shift.
  • Monitor performances of staff ensuring guests are served according to established guidelines.
  • Handle customer disputes and overpayments. Analyze situation and make decision based on circumstances. Complete required forms when necessary.
  • Responsible for compliance with Title 31 Currency Transaction Reporting requirements.
  • Ensure that administrative and accountability reports designed by management are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Maintain integrity of all casino promotions as they pertain to Table Games.
  • Responsible for training and development of dealers, floor, and pit staff.
  • Assure that Table Games area looks neat, clean, organized and inviting.
  • Keep Director informed of activities and incidents during shift.
  • Completes the end of the shift report with financial data.
  • Creates weekly scheduling for Dealers, Floor Supervisors and Pit Managers.
  • Ensure the budget for the department is monitored and adhered to by implementing effective processes and procedures.
  • Prepare necessary data for the budget in area of responsibility.
  • Keep abreast of competitive changes including industry trends and local competitive set.
  • Develop, maintain and nurture a positive work environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implement practices that promote safety, quality and productivity.
  • Help coordinate and supervise training, assignments and development of subordinates.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Able to make difficult decision in a fair and honest manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage directly and indirectly all employees of the Table Games Department during scheduled shift. Adhere to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.

Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
Certification, Licenses And Any Additional Requirements
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.

  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
