Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia is hosting a Dealer Training School to prepare you for a Table Games Dealer role at Wheeling Island Casino. The program runs Monday‑Friday, 9 a.m.

to 5 p.m., starting October 29 and finishing December 10, with a payrate increase after paid training. As a Dealer in Training, you will learn the basics of gaming, shuffle and place cards, handle chip transactions and rack maintenance, develop hand recognition and payout skills, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a state gaming license.
• Ability to attend off-site training and receive the applicable training certificates.
• Mathematical skills to solve equations.
• Exceptional guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic understanding of the gaming industry.
• Shuffle and place cards.
• Cut gaming chips, exchange currency for gaming chips, and identify chip denominations.
• Rack maintenance.
• Hand recognition.
• Payouts and odds for each game.
• Determine game rule winners and losers.
• Control the pace of the game.
• Develop proper game security skills.
• Protect the integrity of games through observation and by following appropriate procedures.
• Identify unusual play habits.
