Grain & Protein Technologies in Taylorville, IL is seeking a Production Technician on 1st shift to operate hydro mats, sonic cleaner, coiner, and drinker assembly for Cumberland products. You will read blueprints, measure parts, inspect for defects, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.

The North America team is currently looking for a Production Technician on 1st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility.
The Production Technician is responsible for operating various equipment; Hydro mats, Sonic Cleaner, Coiner, and Drinker Assembly to produce drinker inserts and assemblies for our Cumberland product line. The Operator must follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy of each product. They must inspect parts for any defects or inconsistencies and adjust as needed. The Operator must also monitor the machines to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. They must have a good understanding of the equipment and be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Operator must be able to read and understand technical documents, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate records of production.
You will work onsite at our Taylorville, IL facility.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required touse hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms.The employee must stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must continuously lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
