Grain & Protein Technologies in Taylorville, IL is seeking an Inventory Specialist on 1st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The role focuses on inventory control to ensure accuracy and working with teams to implement corrective actions for discrepancies.

You will perform cycle counts, validate adjustments, analyze data from production and warehouse processes, and assist in root cause analysis to reduce inventory issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years inventory or production control experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive forklift and obtain certification.
• Strong math skills; ability to read/write clearly.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and multiple operating systems.
• Excellent communication across teams; analytical and detail oriented.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts as outlined in the cycle count program.
• Validate inventory adjustments.
• Analyze data from production and warehouse processes.
• Assist in root cause analysis to reduce inventory issues.
• Ensure timely, accurate transactions with production.
• Monitor inventory to prevent discrepancies.
• Follow safety procedures and 5S standards.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Support Lean and Quality Management systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
