Description

Yard Workers are important members of the Star Nursery team. They provide outstanding customer services and sales assistance to customers. They answer customers’ questions, recommend products/materials, and provide a safe working/shopping environment. They perform general plant upkeep and quality control, working outside in the yard area of our stores.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and timely service
• Adhere to policies regarding operations techniques and materials usage
• Load and unload plant materials
• Operate a forklift
• Conduct product quality control
• Maintain product knowledge and plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
• Stock and label products
• Maintain store upkeep
• Receive, stock, and move merchandise
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to plan ahead and manage multiple priorities
