Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager to lead T&D projects and pursuits across multiple business lines in the region. The role focuses on building execution teams, guiding project implementation, and driving profitability with proactive communication and continuous improvement.

The PM will collaborate on strategies with the T&D Manager of Projects, align with growth objectives, and support national PMIT activities while ensuring safety and quality controls across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field is required.
• Proven success in client and business development with strategic growth.
• Extensive experience in project management, including proposal development, contract negotiations, budgeting, scheduling and client collaboration.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills for smooth project execution.
• Track record of delivering projects within budget and maintaining profits.
• Ability to lead, influence and manage teams with positivity.
• Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pursuit process for projects in emerging business lines and build a strong opportunity pipeline.
• Oversee project execution and implementation, and manage project metrics and profitability.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control procedures and project management standards.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, and risk management throughout pursuit and execution phases.
• Support contract reviews, negotiations, and advisement, including renewals.
• Coordinate with regional offices and national PMIT leadership for aligned activities.
• Drive change management and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and other teams.
• Establish sales and business development plans aligned with growth objectives.
• Maintain safety compliance across all projects and sites.
