Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. seeks an Engineer to support Engineering Planning in enhancing the distribution and transmission systems, ensuring safe and reliable power delivery across NY/NJ.

You will perform annual load forecasting, contingency analysis, and plan projects like substations, transmission upgrades, and NWAs to advance clean energy goals. This role interfaces with the NYISO, PJM, NPCC, and RFC, attends industry meetings, and prepares engineering procedure guides and

Ability to lead within cross‑functional teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct annual load forecasting, contingency analysis, and NWA evaluations.
Collaborate with Utility of the Future team to support clean energy goals.
Identify and justify capital projects for a ten-year delivery plan.
Develop designs and documentation for T&D system improvements.
Perform power flow, voltage stability and transfer analyses.
Provide operational support including voltage regulation, fuse coordination, and transformer settings.
Review interconnection studies and support DER planning.
Prepare procedures, reports and presentations.
