Job summary

Insight Global's client seeks a Transmission and Distribution Construction Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for utility infrastructure projects, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and support the bid and execution teams. Travel to sites is required.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to coordinate with management, purchasing, and field teams throughout bid processes and project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with estimation in utilities transmission and distribution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Accubid estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates for utility projects.
• Respond to RFPs and RFQs and participate in pre-bid meetings/site visits.
• Coordinate with project management and purchasing throughout the bid process.
• Maintain bid logs and assist with change orders and cost tracking during execution.
• Develop client relationships and evaluate constructability through field walk-downs.

Insight Global's client is looking for a Transmission and Distribution Construction estimator. The Transmission and Distribution Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed labor and material cost estimates for utility infrastructure projects. This role involves responding to RFPs and RFQs, attending pre-bid meetings and site visits, coordinating with project management and purchasing, and supporting the estimating team throughout the bid process. The estimator also maintains bid logs, develops client relationships, evaluates constructability through field walk-downs, and assists with change orders and cost tracking during project execution. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel are essential.
