Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a Manager, Transmission & Distribution to lead teams and contractors responsible for planning, construction, maintenance, and delivery of critical electric infrastructure. The role shapes long-term T&D strategies, drives safety culture, and collaborates across departments and external partners.

The position emphasizes leadership, budget oversight, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years of technical experience with at least 4 years of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of the electric utility business and project management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with common computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Construction Managers, contractors, and project teams to deliver construction and maintenance work safely and on schedule.
• Oversee project prioritization, resource allocation, budgets, risks, and change orders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, customers, property owners, and agencies to resolve challenges.
• Develop and manage departmental operating plans and budgets in support of Energy Delivery strategies.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
