Job summary

Walker Elliott in Houston seeks a skilled ERP developer to own the technical aspects of the Infor SyteLine environment, crafting custom forms, IDOs, and extensions. You will implement automated workflows and integrate CSI with MES, CRM, finance, and EDI using Infor ION, BODs, and REST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of development experience, ideally with Infor SyteLine (CSI).
• Strong command of the Mongoose toolset: Form Designer, IDOs, AES.
• Solid C# and VB.NET skills for extension classes and form scripts.
• Advanced SQL Server development and query performance tuning.
• Practical integration experience with Infor ION, BODs, and REST/web services.
• Familiarity with core SyteLine modules and multi-site setups.
• Version control with Git or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to Agile practices and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a growing Houston-based manufacturer serving the energy industry, is adding a developer to its ERP team. This person will own the technical side of their Infor SyteLine environment, building the custom forms, integrations, and reports that keep manufacturing and distribution operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend SyteLine functionality using Mongoose, including personalized forms, custom IDOs, and extension class code
• Configure Application Event System workflows and events to automate business processes
• Add user-defined fields and tables to support new requirements while keeping future upgrades clean
• Write and tune T-SQL stored procedures, views, and functions within the SyteLine database
• Connect SyteLine to MES, CRM, finance, quality, and EDI platforms through Infor ION, the ION API, BODs, IDO web services, and REST
• Produce reports and data extracts with SSRS, Report Designer, and Crystal Reports so business users can analyze operational data
• Partner with business analysts and end users to clarify needs, and steer toward out-of-the-box functionality before writing custom code
• Document every customization, interface, and report thoroughly
• Test changes across Dev and Test environments, then move them into Production using source control and a formal change process
• Diagnose problems with forms, IDOs, background tasks, interfaces, and system performance
• Help with data conversion, migration, and validation during ERP projects
• Contribute to version upgrades and patching by assessing impact, retrofitting custom code, and running regression tests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of development experience, ideally hands-on with Infor SyteLine, also known as CloudSuite Industrial or CSI
• Strong command of the Mongoose toolset, including Form Designer, IDOs, and AES
• Solid C# and VB.NET skills for writing extension classes and form scripts in Visual Studio
• Advanced SQL Server development and query performance tuning
• Practical integration experience with Infor ION, Infor OS, BODs, and REST or web service based interfaces
• Familiarity with core SyteLine modules like financials, inventory, purchasing, job shop, order entry, and service, plus multi-site setups
• Comfort working with XML and JSON
• Version control experience with Git or Azure DevOps
• Good grasp of how manufacturers and distributors operate day to day
• Ability to work through loosely defined requirements and land on practical solutions
• Exposure to Agile practices
• Self-directed, but works well within a team
• Infor or Mongoose training or certification is a plus
