Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Lineworker, Construction to safely build, operate, maintain, and repair the transmission system across the four-state service area. You will work with a crew to install lines and substations, following safety rules and company standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a state-approved lineworker apprenticeship or post-secondary training, a valid Class A CDL, and DOT drug testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-approved lineworker apprenticeship or post-secondary training with 2 years line construction experience (4 years preferred).
• Proficient in line construction, documentation, and computer-based work management.
• Valid Class A CDL and willingness to comply with DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely construct, operate and maintain transmission lines and distribution circuits per standards.
• Maintain relationships with utilities, contractors and property owners.
• Collaborate with Foreperson and crew on line construction activities.
• Lead worker on projects; provide guidance to crew members.
• Inspect and operate vehicles and equipment; ensure safe operation.
