Job summary

Northern Light Health seeks a seasoned behavioral health executive to provide systemwide leadership for strategies and services across Maine, while serving as Chief Executive of Behavioral Health for Acadia Hospital in Bangor.

The role drives the strategic vision, operational excellence, and cross‑setting integration of inpatient, outpatient, community, and school-based programs within a statewide network.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, social work, psychology, or related field required.
• MD/DO/MSN or similar advanced clinical degree encouraged to obtain an MHA or MBA within 18 months of hire.
• Not required to be a physician or licensed clinician.

Responsibilities

• Provide systemwide leadership for behavioral health strategies and services across Maine.
• Lead the overall leadership, operations, and performance of Northern Light Acadia Hospital within the statewide network.
• Develop and execute enterprise-wide behavioral health strategy across inpatient, outpatient, community-based and school-based settings.
• Strengthen clinical quality, patient safety, workforce stability, and patient/family experience.
• Cultivate partnerships with state government, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
