Job summary

Northern Light Health, based in Bangor, ME, seeks an accomplished behavioral health executive to provide systemwide leadership for behavioral health strategies and services across Maine. The Chief Executive of Behavioral Health will oversee Northern Light Acadia Hospital and drive an integrated continuum of care statewide.

The ideal candidate will have eight or more years of senior leadership in behavioral health, with an advanced degree, and a proven track record in systemwide strategy,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in healthcare administration or related field required.
• Eight+ years of progressive senior management experience in a hospital, health system, or behavioral health organization.
• Experience leading behavioral health strategy across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide systemwide leadership for behavioral health strategies across Maine.
• Oversee operational leadership for Northern Light Acadia Hospital.
• Strengthen pediatric inpatient program and care processes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, leaders, and external stakeholders to improve access and coordination.
