Cricut is seeking a versatile Systems Verification & Validation Engineer (also known in other industries at a “Firmware Test Engineer”) who will be responsible for testing and qualifying Firmware and Hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing Firmware’s for the new and existing hardware products and communicating with development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in cross‑functional team meetings and provide valuable end‑user feedback to improve the customer experience.
Our firmware is written on bare‑metal STM32 microcontrollers and similar chips for consumer‑grade creative cutting machines and small appliances. This is NOT a position where you are doing verification of deeper technologies such as FPGAs or ASICs.
This position requires a deep understanding of firmware, hardware and software development life cycle, experience with a variety of testing techniques, experience in running automation test suites and strong written and organizational skills.
The successful candidate should be able to develop and execute an organized test plan to release high‑quality products to the market on schedule.
NOTE: If you are in Aerospace or Medical Devices and interested in a change of industries , this might be the thing. Cricut is very serious about building high quality machines. We are looking for your expertise and strong opinions but also your willingness to collaborate and improve as we all get better together.
At Cricut, we take care of our people.
This role is in‑office FIVE days per week. We believe real collaboration, innovation, and culture are built face‑to‑face. If you’re energized by working alongside smart, kind, creative people—and love those hallway conversations that spark the next great idea—you’ll feel right at home.
If you’re excited by challenge, purpose, and building something better—let’s make something amazing together.
Cricut® is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. This position is contingent on successfully completing a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Cricut participates in E‑Verify.
