Job summary

CoreWise Workforce Strategy Partners seeks a seasoned Systems Testing & Commissioning Technician to test and commission custom HVAC equipment for critical facilities. You will diagnose refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control issues, interpret schematics, and verify performance to meet specs.

The role requires PLC and VFD familiarity, strong problem-solving, and occasional travel to client sites. Mentorship of junior staff and collaboration with engineering teams are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, including superheat and subcooling.
• Ability to diagnose complex refrigeration system issues.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Understanding of three-phase electrical power.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage controls.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

We're seeking an experienced Systems Testing & Commissioning Technician with a passion for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges. This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial or industrial HVAC professional who enjoys figuring out how systems operate, ensuring they perform to specification, and helping develop the next generation of technicians.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Experience performing start-up or commissioning of commercial HVAC equipment
• Ability to travel occasionally
EPA Universal Certification preferred
