Job summary

Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. The Systems Test Engineer Co-op role supports verification, validation, and testing across mechanical, electrical, and software domains on the Atlas platform.

You will work with test engineers to validate robot systems, develop test fixtures, and execute accelerated life reliability tests on actuators, batteries, and compute boards. Degree candidates in ME/EE are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on mechatronics design, build, and test PCBAs or subsystem test stands.
• Experience with 3D modeling software or Altium.
• Experience in test and debugging of complex electromechanical systems.
• Data analysis and visualization skills; firmware, automation, and controls understanding.
• Knowledge of Python, C++, MATLAB, Jira, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Validate and integrate robot systems into test stands with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Oversee integration of testing fixtures, wiring, and configurations.
• Test and validate actuators, boards, controllers and compute hardware.
• Help define test system design and test processes.
• Support test execution, debugging, and failure analysis during reliability tests.
