Pro Staff is hiring a Systems Test Engineer for a temporary opportunity in Osseo, MN. The role focuses on development and testing of medical technology products, ideal for an early-career engineer with hands-on lab experience.

You will design verification tests, analyze data, document procedures, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential, with knowledge of lab equipment and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field.
  • 1–2 years of engineering or product development experience.
  • Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test methods, fixtures, and experiments.
  • Support design verification testing and method validation.
  • Analyze test data and communicate results.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Troubleshoot challenges using structured problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management.
  • Support prototype and commercial product testing in a laboratory environment.

Now Hiring: Systems Test Engineer

Location: Osseo, MN

Pay Rate: $36.00/hour

We are seeking a Systems Test Engineer for a temporary opportunity supporting the development and testing of innovative medical technology products. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with hands-on laboratory experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for product development, design verification, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test methods, test fixtures, and laboratory experiments to evaluate product performance.
  • Support design verification testing, test method validation, and product development activities.
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and communicate results through technical reports and presentations.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including protocols, procedures, and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Project Management.
  • Support prototype and commercial product testing in a laboratory environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of engineering, laboratory, internship, co-op, research, or product development experience.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments.
  • Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical device applications is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Design verification testing and test method validation.
  • Medical device or research experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, Design Controls, and Risk Analysis.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Minitab, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, laboratory equipment, and measurement system analysis.
