Job summary

Pro Staff is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a contract role in Arden Hills, MN, offering a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite). Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in product development, testing, or regulated industry.
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design knowledge.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.

  • Design, develop, and test analog and digital circuits and subsystems.
  • Create and maintain schematics, specifications, test protocols, and reports.
  • Support full product development lifecycle from concept to verification and commercialization.
  • Perform hardware verification and validation testing to meet requirements.
  • Troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Now Hiring: Electrical Engineer

Location: Arden Hills, MN (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite)

Pay Rate: $54-$70/hour

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting an innovative medical technology integration project. This role is ideal for an engineer with expertise in electronic hardware design, product development, testing, and verification within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test analog and digital electronic circuits, systems, and subsystems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, specifications, test protocols, and engineering reports.
  • Support the full product development lifecycle, from concept through verification, validation, and commercialization.
  • Execute hardware verification and validation testing to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Software, Mechanical, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk management activities, and design control processes.
  • Evaluate electronic components, PCB technologies, and system performance for reliability and manufacturability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in product development, testing, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Preferred: Medical device experience, embedded hardware design, PCB design (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence), EMC/EMI knowledge, IEC 60601 familiarity, and experience with verification & validation activities.
