Koorsen Fire & Security in Dover, OH is seeking an Entry Level Systems Technician to join a best-of-the-best team. You will inspect, service, and install fire alarm and security systems, including alarms, access control, and video surveillance, per drawings.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience is required.
• Experience with electronic testing devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass drug and background screenings.
• Must have a valid driver's license; meet licensing requirements.
• NICET certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm systems and components to ensure proper function.
• Service and troubleshoot fire alarm and security systems to diagnose issues.
• Install systems and products including alarms, access control, video, and intercom.
• Install per drawings and ensure customers understand system functionality.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Follow safety regulations and Koorsen policies.
• Engage in continual learning and growth.

Salary range $19 - $25 per hour depending upon experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality
• Service and troubleshoot fire alarm and security systems to diagnose problems and identify solutions
• Install fire alarm and security systems and products, including; Alarms, Communication, Intrusion, Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intercom, and Monitoring
• Install fire alarm and security systems per drawings
• Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner
• Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices
• Open-minded willingness to continual learning
• Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values
• Any other duties deemed appropriate by management

Required

• Mechanical experience
• Experience with electronic testing devices
• Pass drug and background screenings

• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications

Preferred

• NICET preferred
• Fire Life Safety, Security, or Low Voltage experience
• Fire Alarm, Access, and Video Manufacturer's certifications
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of IT functionality

Physical Demands

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
• Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.; push and pull greater than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
