Job summary

Koorsen Fire and Security in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our team. You will install fire alarm systems and components, ensuring proper functionality and that customers understand their systems.

This role requires 4+ years of installation experience, OH/KY licenses, NICET Level 1, and the ability to read diagrams and specifications. You’ll work with customers and vendors, follow safety rules, and participate in ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years installation of fire alarm systems.
• OH & KY fire alarm license is required.
• NICET 1 is required; NICET 2 is a plus.
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with electronic testing devices.
• Pass drug and background screenings.
• Valid driver’s license and state licensing requirements.

SALARY

$19-35/HOUR, Depending upon experience and licenses

Responsibilities

Required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.

Preferred

• Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security experience.
• Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications.
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of IT functionality

Physical Demands

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Must be able to use a cell phone and phone apps effectively.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

• New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within three days of employment.
