RTX is seeking an entry‑level Systems Security Engineer to join the SSE team in Tucson, AZ. You will help develop embedded security solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage and contribute to security across Anti-Tamper, cyber security, and software assurance domains.

Candidates must be pursuing a STEM degree with at least 60 hours completed by internship start and be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through internship completion.
• Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours by internship start date.

Responsibilities

This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Tucson, AZ

As a member of our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team, we want you to develop embedded security solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline, specifically Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior internship, co-op or work experience
• Applied engineering on-the-job experience, research, coursework or projects with exposure in one or more of the following domains: systems engineering, software or firmware development, systems integration and/or test, ASIC development, digital electronics design, model-based systems engineering, or similar work history.
• Experience supporting DoD programs or a working knowledge of DoD directives such as DODI-S-5230.28
• Active/Current DoD security clearance
• Exceptional creativity, problem-solving abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills

This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
