We are seeking a skilled Systems Representative to lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of HVAC controls and building automation projects. You will work closely with customers, subcontractors, technicians, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. What's the Job?
- Lead assigned control systems projects from planning through completion
- Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation activities, and commissioning efforts
- Manage system controller loading, device verification, testing, and startup activities
- Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and material delivery requirements
- Manage project costs, billings, collections, and financial performance
- Evaluate scope changes and actively pursue change orders when applicable
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, technicians, designers, and installers throughout project execution
- Ensure installations comply with project specifications and company standards
- Prepare commissioning documentation, project closeout materials, and as-built documentation
- Conduct site-specific customer training and provide operational documentation
- Participate in project meetings and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor and promote adherence to safety standards on all project activities
- Provide technical guidance and work direction to technicians, designers, installers, and subcontractors
What's Needed?
- Technical Associate Degree and two years of field experience, or four years of equivalent related HVAC industry field experience
- Hands-on experience with digital HVAC controls system design and commissioning
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and control theory
- Strong computer and technical documentation skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision
- Project coordination and customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting practices preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience directing or coordinating the work of technicians, installers, designers, and subcontractors
