Job summary

Claryo, based in New York, seeks a Systems Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of our platform across cloud, edge, and on-site environments. You’ll build observable, diagnosable, and repeatable systems, collaborating with engineering and deployment teams to ensure production readiness.

You’ll lead incident response, refine on-call processes, improve deployment workflows, and boost visibility with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Kubernetes and multi-site deployments are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE, infrastructure, or distributed systems
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals
• Experience operating systems in production environments
• Experience with networking in constrained or distributed environments (VPNs, secure tunnels)
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Ability to debug across infra, services, and network
• Comfortable in real-world, imperfect environments
• Strong ownership and drive to resolution

Responsibilities

• Own reliability of systems across cloud, edge, and on-site deployments
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
• Define and improve incident response, severity levels, and on-call processes
• Improve deployment and bring-up workflows across facilities
• Diagnose issues across infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems
• Partner with engineering to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues
• Improve system visibility, debugging, and operational tooling
• Help make deployments repeatable and scalable across sites
