Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a detail-oriented Systems Project Analyst (OPS) to join the Office of Information Technology Services. The role blends business analysis and quality assurance to identify needs, document requirements, support enhancements, and ensure solutions meet functional, operational, and regulatory standards.

You will develop and maintain requirements, user stories, process flows, functional specs, and traceability, while leading test planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field or 2+ years of experience in a business analysis or quality assurance role.
• Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies and testing practices.
• Familiarity with Jira or other project management tools.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and tests.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business and technical teams to translate needs into functional/technical solutions.
• Define and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, and traceability documentation.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts; validate system functionality.
• Manage defects and support user acceptance testing; ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Support solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production activities.
